本地時間2011年2月28日上午9點半，第83屆奧斯卡金像獎假洛杉磯柯達劇院舉行頒獎典禮。The King's Speech 挾導演工會獎、監製工會獎之餘威擊敗 The Social Network 橫掃最佳電影、最佳導演、最佳男主角、最佳原著劇本四項大獎，The Social Network 僅得到最佳改編劇本、最佳剪接、最佳配樂三個獎項。Colin Firth、Natalie Portman 以大熱姿態榮登影帝影后，The Fighter 的 Christian Bale、Melissa Leo 雙雙獲頒最佳男女配角。
