Rio is a upcoming 3-D animated film from 20th Century Fox and Blue Sky Studios, directed by Carlos Saldanha and written by Don Rhymer. The characters are voiced by Jesse Eisenberg, Anne Hathaway, Rodrigo Santoro, Kate del Castillo and Bernardo De Paula.

 

Blu (Jesse Eisenberg) is a rare species of macaw resident at a zoo in Minnesota who believes he is the last of his kind. When he learns that another macaw was spotted in South America, and that Jewel (Anne Hathaway) is female, he leaves Minnesota and travels to Rio to find her.
